Going to Car Nicobar and Hut Bay from Port Blair you can go by ship. There are helicopter services some of the iselands. For seat allotment, piority is not given to tourist. In 2004 a group of amateur wireless operators from Hyderbad of India were at Port Blair they were doing D'xing, that is contacting other amateur wireless operators through amateur wireless equipments. In 2006 a HAM feast was organised at Port Blair, many foreign amateur wireless operators joined this programme. they had contacted various stations from Port Blair, For amateur wireless activies the license is required.

This operators gave yeomen services when tshumani affected various part of Andaman & Nicobar.

Nancowrie is an iseland this was my third In December 2008, I was able to reach Nancowrie, an ice land, I could not get berth by ship, attempt to Nancowrie since 2004. Finally, I got a seat in Helicopter run by Pawan Hans which is controlled and managed by the Andaman & Nicobor civil administration. I reached the helipad area when no staff had reached their. I was informed to reach before the schedule time.

The helicopter had a stop over at Car Nicobar, I had a flight from there to Port Blair in December 2004 just before Tsunami.

The helipad was in Naval area at Nancowrie, there is no public transport to take me to Andaman Public Works Department Guest House located other side of the hill and a good view of jetty from this Guest House. I returned Port Blair by ship, called MV Kalighat, a ship built by Hooghly Dockyard of Howraha, West Bengal, India. This is one of the best ship running in Andaman & Nicobar
